Paintsville is 3-0 against Raceland since December of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Paintsville Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Raceland Rams at 7:30 p.m. Paintsville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Raceland likes a good challenge.

Given Paintsville's advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while Magoffin County is ranked 233rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Raceland was the victim of a rough 79-53 loss at the hands of Russell on Saturday. Raceland was down 59-36 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Paintsville has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-10 record this season. As for Raceland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-13.
Paintsville skirted past Raceland 52-50 when the teams last played back in January of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Paintsville since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
