On Saturday, Sebring came up short against Seminole and fell 54-41. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Sebring has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Sebring still got an impressive performance from KJ Turner, who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. That was a full 46.3% of Sebring's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Sylvester Lewis, who scored three points along with ten rebounds and four blocks.
Sebring's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Seminole, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sebring will challenge Kathleen at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing isn't great for Kathleen: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Sebring has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road. Seminole's road trip will continue as they head out to face Northeast at 8:00 p.m. on January 29th. Northeast knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Seminole likes a good challenge.
