The Bullitt East Chargers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 48-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ryle. While losing is never fun, Bullitt East can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while Ryle is ranked 14th).
Ryle found their leader in underclassman Jaelyn Jones, who scored 22 points along with five steals and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jones has scored all season. Quinn Eubank was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds.
Bullitt East now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Ryle, their victory bumped their record up to 11-7.
Bullitt East will be playing in front of their home fans against Male at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Ryle, they will take on Highlands at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
