Overfelt came into Tuesday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on the James Lick Comets with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in March.

Overfelt was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-18, 25-18.

Overfelt's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for James Lick, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Overfelt will venture away from home to challenge Gilroy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for James Lick, they will head out to square off against Live Oak at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Acorns will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Comets surely won't give up without a fight.
