Volleyball Recap: Stacey Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Stacey, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against the Brackett Tigers by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Stacey had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-19, 25-17, 25-14.

Jordan Davis paced Stacey's offense, picking up 12 kills. Davis got some help from Leah Jones and her 22 assists. Lyla Leu controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Stacey's win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 5-18. As for Brackett, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Stacey is set to challenge their familiar foe Sabinal at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Brackett will take on rival La Pryor at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
