It was a good run, but the Cascia Hall Commandos unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell to Casady 50-46. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Cascia Hall came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 312th, while the Cyclones are ranked 888th).
Casady found their leader in underclassman Kate Naifeh, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Naifeh has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Sarah Warren, who scored six points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Cascia Hall's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-12. As for Casady, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-12.
Cascia Hall and the Braves will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 last Saturday. As for Casady, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Lions at 6:00 p.m.
