Verona's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a rough 70-42 loss at the hands of Millburn. Verona has struggled against Millburn recently, as their match on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, West Essex couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 68-57 to Belleville on Saturday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Verona's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for West Essex, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-1.
Verona might still be hurting after the 74-53 loss they got from West Essex in their previous matchup back in January. Can Verona avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
