The Wise Pumas stacked a third blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They really took it to Bladensburg for the full four quarters, racking up a 70-40 victory on the road. With Wise ahead 37-13 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Wise was led to victory by Jayson Frost and Jamal Drummond. Frost scored eight points along with five steals, while Drummond scored 13 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Obase, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Wise is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Bladensburg, they bumped their record down to 4-7 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wise will face off against Parkdale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Parkdale focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Saturday. As for Bladensburg, they will head out on the road to square off against High Point at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. High Point comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
