Dayton put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They put the hurt on the Pomeroy Pirates with a sharp 20-4 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 17-4 on Friday.

Dayton's win bumped their record up to 7-0-1. As for Pomeroy, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Dayton will host Garfield-Palouse at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season. As for Pomeroy, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Sunnyside Christian at 2:00 p.m. on the 14th. The Pirates will need to watch out since the Knights have now posted at least ten runs in their last four contests.
