The San Francisco Waldorf Wolverines pushed their score all the way to 56 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 68-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of International. While losing is never fun, San Francisco Waldorf can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 661st, while International is ranked 325th).
Despite the loss, San Francisco Waldorf still got an impressive performance from Miles MacDonald, who scored 38 points. That was a full 67.9% of San Francisco Waldorf's points, marking the 13th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
San Francisco Waldorf's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-9. As for International, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 16-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. San Francisco Waldorf will take on Drew at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Drew focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Thursday. As for International, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Gateway at 1:00 p.m.
