Basketball Recap: Creek Valley Drops Season-High Score on Potter-Dix

While Creek Valley didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Potter-Dix Coyotes by a score of 60-53 on Friday. The Storm's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Creek Valley was led to victory by Lane Brenneman and Mason Timm. Brenneman almost dropped a double-double on 29 points and nine rebounds, while Timm went 5 of 9 on his way to 13 points and three steals. Brenneman's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Potter-Dix's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Landon Gasseling, who posted 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Tabor, who put up 11 points and six rebounds.

The win was the third in a row for Creek Valley, bringing their record for this year to 4-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Potter-Dix, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Creek Valley will venture away from home to square off against Peetz at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Peetz will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Creek Valley surely won't give up without a fight. As for Potter-Dix, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 59-36 loss against Paxton on the 14th.
