First Baptist's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a rough 69-39 loss at the hands of South Texas Christian Academy. First Baptist was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-15.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 70-20, which was the final score in Presbyterian Pan American's tilt against Macedonian Christian back in November of 2023. While losing is never fun, Presbyterian Pan American can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1470th, while Macedonian Christian is ranked 571st).
First Baptist bumped their record down to 0-1 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Presbyterian Pan American, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
