Hammond Academy of Science & Tech's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jermaine Bartlett led the charge by scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeffrey Patton, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Hammond Academy of Science & Tech pushed their record up to 7-9 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for River Forest, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.

As for River Forest, they will head out on the road to challenge Marquette Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. River Forest is facing Marquette Catholic at the right time seeing as Marquette Catholic is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
