The Lexington School for the Deaf Blue Jays scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They blew past New York School for the Deaf 84-30 on the road. That 54 points margin sets a new team best for Lexington School for the Deaf this season.
Lexington School for the Deaf got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Timothy Lucas out in front who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lucas has scored all season. Shawn Gilies was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Lexington School for the Deaf and bumps their season record up to 5-5. As for New York School for the Deaf, their loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-10.
Lexington School for the Deaf will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lowell at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New York School for the Deaf, they will head out on the road to square off against Montfort Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
