Littlestown never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They blew past the Delone Catholic Squires 15-0. The result was nothing new for the Thunderbolts, who have now won nine contests by eight runs or more so far this season.
Alexis Stonesifer made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Ashlynn Gorsuch was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Hannah Barthel was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs.
Littlestown was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .536. They are 9-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Littlestown has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games.
