On Friday, Rider came up short against Aledo and fell 54-44.
Rider's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Caiden Reed, who scored 15 points, and Gavin Aday who scored 12 points. That was a full 34.1% of Rider's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Meanwhile, Brewer entered their tilt with Granbury with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. Brewer came out on top against Granbury by a score of 44-35 on Friday.
Rider has not been sharp recently as the team has lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-21 record this season. As for Brewer, they pushed their record up to 27-5 with that win, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season.
