There's no place like home for the Port Clinton Redskins, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They walked away with a 50-42 victory over Clyde on Tuesday. Given Port Clinton's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 184th, while Clyde is ranked 467th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the defeat, Clyde saw an underclassman step up: Kenzlie Guhn scored 18 points along with six rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Guhn has scored all season. Cora Liskai was another key contributor, scoring two points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Port Clinton is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Clyde, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.
Port Clinton will head out on the road to challenge Willard at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Clyde, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Norwalk at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Norwalk will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
