Even though the Cincinnati Christian Cougars have not done well against the Clark Montessori Cougars recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Cincinnati Christian came out on top against Clark Montessori by a score of 46-35. Given Cincinnati Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 308th, while Clark Montessori is ranked 660th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Cincinnati Christian found their leader in underclassman Addyson Raby, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Serena Cyprien, who scored 20 points.
The win (which was Cincinnati Christian's fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1. As for Clark Montessori, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
Cincinnati Christian will be home for the holidays to greet New Miami at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Clark Montessori, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Bernard-Elmwood Place at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
