The Oblong Panthers need to shore up a defense that is allowing 66.36 points per game before their game Friday. They will take on the Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond Knights at home. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous games.
The Panthers escaped with a win against Martinsville by the margin of a single free throw, 43-42. Having pegged this as anyone's game, the MaxPreps rankings were right on the nose.
Meanwhile, Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond beat Blue Ridge 53-44 on Tuesday.
Oblong ended up a good deal behind the Knights when they played when the two teams previously met in January of last year, losing 50-39. Maybe Oblong will have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back on MaxPreps for all the details.
