The Rahway Indians's six-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Saturday. They blew past Abraham Clark, posting a 73-31 victory on the road. This was payback for Rahway, who suffered a 65-52 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Rahway's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Isaiah Gurley led the charge by scoring 19 points along with seven rebounds. James Downing was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
The win got Rahway back to even at 1-1. As for Abraham Clark, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Scotch Plains-Fanwood the next time they take the court. Rahway will head out to face Scotch Plains-Fanwood at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Abraham Clark will host them at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
