The Archie Williams Peregrine Falcons will take on the Terra Linda Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Archie Williams has five straight victories, Terra Linda has nine straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Archie Williams had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Rancho Cotate on Friday. The Peregrine Falcons blew past the Cougars 7-1. Considering the Peregrine Falcons have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Paige Murphy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Archie Williams saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lydia Battaglia, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI Battaglia has posted since back in March of 2024. Parker Conrad was another, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Archie Williams was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .344 or higher in three consecutive games.
Analy hit Terra Linda with a four-run seventh inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Trojans fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 4-3.
Archie Williams pushed their record up to 14-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Terra Linda, they now have a losing record of 8-9.
Everything went Archie Williams' way against Terra Linda in their previous matchup back in March, as Archie Williams made off with a 15-2 win. Do the Peregrine Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
