Upsala is 2-8 against Osakis since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Upsala Cardinals will head out on the road to face off against the Osakis Silverstreaks at 7:15 p.m. Hopefully Upsala focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Upsala came up short against Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa and fell 60-51.
Samantha Pilarski put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabel Ripplinger, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Osakis also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Royalton by a score of 52-39. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Osakis in their matchups with Royalton: they've now lost four in a row.
Upsala has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Osakis, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Upsala came up short against Osakis in their previous matchup back in January, falling 53-43. Can Upsala avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
