Azusa found a leader in Terry Chavez as the team took down Nogales on Tuesday. Chavez was unstoppable, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Azusa's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-9 when he doesn't).

Chavez's strong effort led Azusa over Nogales and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Aztecs have some work to do to even out the 2-8 series between these two since April of 2021, but a win here would be a good start.
