The Ira Bulldogs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 57-43 win over Valley. That looming 57-43 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Ira yet this season.
Valley's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kanyon Taylor, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. The game was Taylor's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tucker Schlueter, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Ira's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.
Ira will head out on the road to face off against Bronte at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Valley won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Knox City at 5:00 a.m. on December 16th. Knox City presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Valley in Texas (Knox City is ranked 348th, while Valley is ranked 896th).
