Dallas  took care of business in their home opener  (and then some) on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the West Scranton Invaders with a sharp  11-1 win. This was payback for the Mountaineers, who suffered  a  3-1  defeat the last time these two teams met.
 Dominick Zangardi was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Zangardi was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-2. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in April of 2024.
 In other pitching news,  Aaron Patton looked comfortable as he  struck out seven batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   three  hits (and only one walk). That's the most  strikeouts  he has posted since back in April of 2024.

 Back at the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Connor Healey, who  went 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases, three  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  three  RBI gave  him a new career-high.  Kaden Coyne was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 Dallas  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .519. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Scranton only posted  an  OBP of  .375.
West Scranton's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dallas will challenge Scranton at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. As for West Scranton, they will take on Pottsville at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. West Scranton is facing Pottsville at the right time seeing as Pottsville is stuck on  a  three-game losing streak.
