After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northwestern, Chapin was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Irmo Yellow Jackets with a sharp 18-3 victory. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Yellow Jackets recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Chapin's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Irmo, they dropped their record down to 0-12 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Chapin will be playing at home against White Knoll at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Timberwolves have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season. As for Irmo, they will venture away from home to challenge Dutch Fork at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Silver Foxes have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.22 runs per game on average), something the Yellow Jackets will no doubt try to take advantage of.
