Cross had won three straight games and Zach Nicastro did his part to make it four on Friday. The Stingrays enjoyed a cozy 62-47 win over the Andrew Jackson Academy Warriors with plenty of help from Nicastro, who went 6-for-11 from beyond the arc to rack up 30 points and eight rebounds. He has become a key player for Cross: the team is 6-3 when he posts at least 15 points, but 4-5 otherwise.
The team also got some help courtesy of Ladi Adeisa, who posted nine points along with seven boards and five assists. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games he's played.
Despite the loss, Andrew Jackson Academy still got an impressive performance from Oliver Barnes, who scored 32 points and six rebounds. Elizuh Davis was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and 15 boards.
Cross' victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Andrew Jackson Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.
