Fleming Island's loss came despite strong showings from London Jenkins and Ariana Pierce. Jenkins scored 23 points, while Pierce scored 16 points along with 8 rebounds. Jenkins scored a full 50% of Fleming Island's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Victoria Noble was another key contributor, scoring 3 points.
Tocoi Creek got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Gabi Iturralde out in front who scored 17 points along with 8 assists and 5 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Iturralde has scored at least 25% of Tocoi Creek's points. Another player making a difference was Audrey Beyer, who scored 23 points.
Fleming Island's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Tocoi Creek, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
