The Hagerty Huskies scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 94-50 win over Merritt Island. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Hagerty has managed all season.
Hagerty found their leader in underclassman Alex Dipaolo, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for him. Kyle Bailey was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds.
Braeden Rouleau and Jayce Brandes certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Rouleau scored 19 points, while Brandes scored 13 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Shane Patrick, who scored six points.
The win was the third in a row for Hagerty, bringing their record for this year to 6-1. As for Merritt Island, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hagerty will square off against Colonial at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Colonial has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 505 points over their last seven matchups. Merritt Island will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against West Shore at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th.
