Fairfax Christian enjoyed a cozy 72-53 win over Rock Creek Christian Academy. Fairfax Christian's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Fairfax Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Frank Siaca Bey led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and 10 rebounds. The matchup was Siaca Bey's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Mostashari, who scored 18 points.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sam Norfleet, who scored 20 points. Norfleet scored a full 37.7% of Rock Creek Christian Academy's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Corwin Holland II, who scored 11 points.
Fairfax Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Rock Creek Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-3 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fairfax Christian will face off against Ad Fontes Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Rock Creek Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against New Hope Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
