The Basis Yeti's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by St. Michael on the road and fell 73-19. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Basis in their matchups with St. Michael: they've now lost four in a row.
Avery Paris was Basis' leading scorer, having posted eight points.
Basis has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season. As for St. Michael, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Basis will face off against Rock Point at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. St. Michael won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Many Farms at 5:30 p.m. on January 26th. Many Farms is on a three-game streak of home wins, St. Michael a five-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
