The Riverside Pirates will head out on the road to square off against the Bethel Bees at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Riverside will be strutting in after a win while Bethel will be coming in after a loss.
Even though Riverside has not done well against Milton-Union recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Riverside took down Milton-Union 55-37.
Meanwhile, Bethel's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They lost to Legacy Christian Academy on the road by a decisive 66-49 margin.
Riverside is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season. As for Bethel, they bumped their record down to 3-9 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Riverside came out on top in a nail-biter against Bethel in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, sneaking past 53-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for Riverside since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
