The Howell Vikings will take on the North Point Grizzlies at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Howell sitting on four straight victories and North Point on seven.
Howell not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 22, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Howell Central.
Howell not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Howell Central between 13 and 16 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-13, 25-16.

Howell's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grace Thompson, who had 23 assists and seven digs. Thompson has been hot recently, having posted 18 or more assists the last four times she's played. Grace Seaman was another key player, getting 16 assists and four digs.
Meanwhile, North Point made easy work of Fort Zumwalt North on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory.
North Point walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-20, 25-12.
Howell better focus on containing Libbie Meek and Ivanna Osorio as the pair were huge in North Point's win. Meek had nine digs and two aces, while Osorio had five digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Osorio a new career-high. Raegan Herin also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.
North Point's victory bumped their record up to 29-3. As for Howell, their win bumped their record up to 7-20-2.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Wednesday's match: Howell has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 5.8 aces per game. However, it's not like North Point struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.4 aces.
