Basketball Recap: Ballinger Sets Scoring Season-High Against Sonora

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ballinger). They came out on top against the Sonora Broncos by a score of 62-49 on Tuesday. This was payback for the Bearcats, who suffered a 60-54 loss the last time these two teams met.

When it comes to explaining why Sonora lost, don't look at Wyatt Killough. Despite the final result, he went 6-for-10 en route to 17 points and seven rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Killough now owns an excellent 40.7% three-point shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Steven Robles, who posted eight points and eight boards.

The win snapped Ballinger's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-3 record. As for Sonora, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Ballinger has already played their next contest, a 69-48 victory against Hamlin on the 4th. As for Sonora, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-63 win against Mason on the 4th.
