The Harvest Christian Academy Lions will venture away from home to take on the Rolling Meadows Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Harvest Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.1 runs per game this season.
Harvest Christian Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 30-10 margin over Parkview Christian Academy on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.
Alyssa Burke made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. She also put up three walks, which were her first of the season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Harvest Christian Academy let Kenzie Weidman and Alayna Booras run wild. Weidman got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and four RBI, while Booras got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI Booras has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Mackenzie Richards, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances.
Harvest Christian Academy hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Parkview Christian Academy struck out eight times.
Meanwhile, Rolling Meadows was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 13-3 to Conant.
Rolling Meadows saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caylee Del Boccio, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
Rolling Meadows' defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Harvest Christian Academy, their record is now 3-6.
Harvest Christian Academy's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's contest. The Lions have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.4 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Rolling Meadows, though, as they've been averaging only 0.6 stolen bases.
