The Archbishop Alter Knights are taking a road trip to  square off against the Brookville Blue Devils  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. Archbishop Alter will be strutting in after a  win while Brookville will be coming in after a  loss.
Archbishop Alter took a loss when they played away from home  last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Monday. They came out on top against Legacy Christian Academy by a score of  5-2.
 Joe Maloney made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing one inning while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. He also  tossed  no  earned runs, which is notable because Archbishop Alter is 2-1 when he allows at  most  one  earned run, but 3-4 otherwise. Maloney was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-2 with two  runs.

 Maloney wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Owen Tishaus, who  went 1-for-3 with two  RBI and one  double. Those  two  RBI gave  Tishaus a new career-high. Another  was  Thomas Drake, who  got on base  in all three of his plate appearances with one  run.
 Meanwhile, Brookville was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They were two  runs away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of Oakwood. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  loss the Blue Devils have suffered  since May 30, 2024.
 The  victory  got Archbishop Alter back to even at 5-5. As for Brookville, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
 Archbishop Alter skirted past Brookville  4-2 when the teams last played  back in April of 2022. Do  the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Devils turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
