The biggest upset of the week belonged to North Warren Regional, who defeated 176th ranked Hopatcong, 35-7. Scott Palmer ran for 111 yards and caught 7 passes for 82 yards during the win.
Boonton's Josh Smith rumbled for the longest rushing play in Northwest Jersey - Independence this season in his game against Wallkill Valley last week. Smith's team bested the Rangers as he sprinted for 80 yards on the play and finished with 103 in all.
The Patriots' dynamic duo of David Wilbur and Palmer proved tough for the Chiefs to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Wilbur threw for 110 yards and 2 touchdowns and Palmer had 82 yards receiving.
Shawn Davis was a passing and rushing force as Morris Catholic lost to Kinnelon.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Hopatcong's Ryan Clarke and Stephen Rogers have proven to be a lethal combination. Clarke has thrown for 273 yards this season, while Rogers, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 10 catches for 165 yards. North Warren Regional's Luke Robertson leads the league in rushing yards with 336.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Butler takes on the Colts. At the moment, the Bulldogs are in second, while Kinnelon is in fourth.
Matt Parzero's team moved up to 130 from 187 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Northwest Jersey - Independence. The Patriots climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Jerry Venturino's team 35-7.
