The Muenster Hornets will head out to face off against the Chico Dragons at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Muenster is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 11 games.
On Tuesday, Muenster made easy work of Nocona and carried off a 16-1 win. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 games by six runs or more this season.

Skyler Reed made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Muenster got a big performance out of Jasmine Hacker, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Lilly Johnson was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Muenster always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Nocona only posted an OBP of .167.
Meanwhile, Chico posted their closest victory since February 22nd on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past Era 2-1. The win continues a trend for the Dragons in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now won three in a row.
Addyson Sides spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up 17 Ks. Those 17 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
At the plate, Chico's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jatelynd Gregg, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple was Gregg's first of the season.
Muenster pushed their record up to 15-7-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Chico, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
Both Muenster and Chico just can't seem to miss. The Hornets have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.2 hits per game. However, it's not like Chico struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Muenster took their win against Chico in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a conclusive 13-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
