After a string of three wins, Palestine-Wheatley's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a serious blow against Barton, falling 6-58. The state rankings had actually given Palestine-Wheatley a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
The loss dropped Palestine-Wheatley's record to 3-1. The victory bumped Barton's record up to 4-1.
Next week Palestine-Wheatley take on Rison at 7:00 PM. Palestine-Wheatley have seen their point totals decreasing over the past three games, a vulnerability Rison are surely hoping to exploit. As for Barton, they will face off against Fordyce. The squad will be hoping to continue their now four-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
