Baseball Recap: St. Mary's Comes Up Short

St. Mary lost against Front Range Christian on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Pirates took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cole Eberhardt was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. St. Mary's is 2-1 when Eberhardt posts two or more stolen bases, but 1-3 otherwise. Ryan Strub was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

St. Mary's now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Front Range Christian, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Mary's will face off against Hinkley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Front Range Christian, they will take on Evangel Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
