Jordan moved up to 340 from 377 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Moore. The Panthers climbed the ranks as a result of besting Compton 44-28.
Long Beach Poly extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Woodrow Wilson, 48-6. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Jackrabbits.
Millikan's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Dean Duggan threw for 78 and one touchdown and Max Whitt had 51 yards receiving. On the ground Duggan chipped in 43 yards. Gary Lee helped Millikan's passing attack out by catching one ball for 27 yards.
5-foot-10 quarterback Kaelon Price of Cabrillo is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1483. He has also thrown 11 touchdowns. On the ground, the Bruins' Tonny Lindsey has rushed for 1309 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Zimari Manning. The Woodrow Wilson star has 45 catches for 808 yards.
A big matchup in Moore this week will be when Long Beach Poly takes on the Jaguars. At the moment, Raul Lara's team is in second, while Cabrillo is in fifth.
Jordan made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,155 from 4,639. The improvement came about via a 44-28 victory over the Tarbabes last week.
