The La Joya Community Fighting Lobos's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 73-55 bruising from Westview. La Joya Community has not had much luck with Westview recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
La Joya Community lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Josiah Hale, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Carter, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
La Joya Community has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season. As for Westview, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7.
La Joya Community will head out on the road to take on Desert Edge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Desert Edge will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Westview will take on Millennium at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Millennium knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 17 games -- so hopefully Westview likes a good challenge.
