After a string of nine wins, the Olentangy Liberty Patriots's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 39-27 to Marysville. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Olentangy Liberty has scored all season.
Olentangy Liberty lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Gigi Bower, who scored 12 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Addy Pyles, who scored three points along with eight rebounds.
Olentangy Liberty's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-5. As for Marysville, they pushed their record up to 18-3 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Olentangy Liberty will face off against the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hilliard Davidson will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 313th, while the Patriots are ranked 17th). As for Marysville, they will be playing at home against the Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
