Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Highland Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Trinity Alfaro, who scored 27 points along with six rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Alfaro has scored all season. Anahi Nunez was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Highland Prep's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-10. As for San Miguel, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-9.
Highland Prep will take on Phoenix Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Phoenix Christian is ranked 221st, while Highland Prep is ranked 240th). As for San Miguel, they will head out on the road to take on Palo Verde at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Allowing an average of 61.4 points per game, Palo Verde has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this contest.
