Winning is a key factor for the 15 players selected as they've gone a combined 85-2 and all have positioned their teams for success through the regular season and into postseason play. Ten of the players belong to teams in the MaxPreps Top 25. No. 1 Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) and No. 8 Servite (Anaheim, Calif.) are the only two schools to have more than one player selected.

The four-star quarterback has thrown for 2,285 yards and 24 touchdowns while leading the Battling Bees to a 7-0 record. They just knocked off Mentor (Ohio) for the first time in school history last week on ESPN2 and have won every game by double-digits this season. He's added six more scores on the ground.

The back-to-back 7A state champs have one of the best defenses in the country and Alexander has been a huge reason why. The five-star defensive end has 48 tackles, 19 tackles for loss and six sacks for the No. 4 team in the country. Thompson has only allowed 19 points through its first seven games.

The future Nittany Lion has accounted for over 1,000 total yards and 16 touchdowns through five games for the No. 2 team in the MaxPreps Top 25. He has barely played in the second half because of blowouts. The Ascenders have outscored the opposition 279-31.

While his numbers don't jump off the stat sheet, his impact is as good as any player in the country. Opposing coaches have to game plan for No. 31 whenever they play the No. 1 team and that makes everyone's job easier on defense.

Last year, the MaxPreps Player of the Year came from Corner Canyon when Jaxson Dart put up video game numbers for one of the best teams in the country. The same thing is happening again as Brown is leading the nation in passing yards (2,894) and is tied for the lead in passing touchdowns (32). He's added 234 yards rushing and six more scores as No. 13 Corner Canyon goes for the state record for consecutive wins tonight against Lone Peak (Highland).

Brown is the only non-senior included and the sophomore quarterback for the No. 1 team in the country has played like a veteran. Through four games this season he has completed 79 percent of his passes for 836 yards and 11 touchdowns. The most impressive stat — zero interceptions. He has gone 9-0 during his Monarch career and joined Todd Marinovich, Matt Barkley and JT Daniels as the only freshman quarterbacks to start for Mater Dei last spring.

"Touchdown Luther" earned that nickname for a reason — when he gets his hands on the ball it usually turns into six points. He is one of the most dynamic playmakers in the country and it was evident when the Flyers traveled to Southern California to face St. John Bosco (Bellflower). Burden was the best player on the field even though the Braves won.

Fifita has been one of the best quarterbacks in Southern California since his sophomore year and is having as good a year as any signal-caller this season. He has thrown for 1,807 yards and 21 touchdowns while leading the Friars to a 6-0 record and a spot at No. 8 in the MaxPreps Top 25. He has added 247 yards and five more scores on the ground.

Last year's
MaxPreps National Junior of the Year has helped lead the Eagles to the school's first 7-0 start and a No. 7 rank in the MaxPreps Top 25. The five-star Florida State pledge suffered a serious ankle injury last week that will sideline him at least four weeks but he has made as much an impact as any player in the country. He has been dominant on both sides of the ball racking up over 700 yards of total offense, seven touchdowns, 16 tackles and two interceptions, with one being a pick-six.

Since becoming the full-time starter before last season he has been one of the best players in the country. He led the Chaparrals to a 14-0 record and 6A Division 1 state title last season. They are looking unbeatable again this year and a lot of that has to do with Klubnik. Through five games the No. 3 team in the MaxPreps Top 25 has outscored the opposition 266-54 and the future Clemson Tiger has accounted for nearly 1,500 yards of total offense and 24 touchdowns.

McMillan joins his teammate Fifita and has been making a huge impact on both sides of the ball for the Friars. The four-star wide receiver has 38 receptions for 783 yards and 13 touchdowns on offense while racking up 15 tackles and an interception on defense for a team that has not trailed at any point this season.

Presley has been one of the best and most successful high school football players in Oklahoma history. He has gone 41-1 and won three 6A-II state titles, with a really good chance at a fourth this season. Last year's
MaxPreps Oklahoma Football Player of the Year leads the No. 21 team in the country in rushing yards (552), rushing touchdowns (7), receptions (26) and receiving yards (298).

One of the most productive quarterbacks in Georgia history is having another tremendous season. Through six games the four-star Georgia pledge has accounted for 2,335 yards of total offense and 31 touchdowns. He is four touchdowns away from breaking former Gainesville standout Deshaun Watson's state record of 218 total touchdowns.

The next in a long line of big-time quarterbacks over the last 15 years, Tremain is putting up monster numbers again after an impressive spring. Through the Bulldogs first six games, he has thrown for 1,661 yards and 31 touchdowns to go with three more scores on the ground. An impressive showing against De La Salle (Concord) on Friday in our
MaxPreps Game of the Week will only see his stock continue to rise.

As productive as any player in the country, he's thrown for 1,652 yards and 15 touchdowns for the No. 74 team in the MaxPreps Top 100. He's added 436 yards on the ground to go with five touchdowns and also has two touchdown receptions. The future Aggie is off to a 5-0 start this year and has gone 25-4 over the last three seasons.
