Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carvers Bay). They claimed a resounding 73-39 victory over the Latta Vikings. The win was some much needed relief for the Bears as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Carvers Bay got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaquan Hannah out in front who went 5 for 6 on his way to 12 points. Jamie Graham was another key player, going 7 of 9 en route to 16 points.

Carvers Bay smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Latta only pulled down six offensive boards.

Latta lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Dezmond Bethea, who posted nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of JP Bley, who had eight points and three steals.

Carvers Bay's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-5. As for Latta, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-6.

Carvers Bay wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 68-39 loss against Conway on the 19th. As for Latta, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 51-45 victory against Hannah-Pamplico on the 19th.
