Cuero fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Gonzales on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Apaches by a score of 62-60. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to San Antonio Memorial, who are still winless after their 17th contest. They suffered a rough 68-42 loss at the hands of Fox Tech on Friday. San Antonio Memorial has struggled against Fox Tech recently, as their match on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Cuero has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for San Antonio Memorial, they bumped their record down to 0-17 with that loss, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
