Bay Path RVT has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge University Park at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. University Park took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Bay Path RVT, who comes in off a win.
Last Thursday, Bay Path RVT earned a 49-40 win over Keefe Tech. The victory was all the more spectacular given Bay Path RVT's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 286th, while Keefe Tech is ranked 129th).
Bay Path RVT relied on the efforts of Dale Nussey, who scored 14 points, and Corey Scovil, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Scovil has scored all season. Zack Moody was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Meanwhile, University Park's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Sunday after their eighth straight loss. They were beaten by Burncoat 71-37. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss University Park has suffered yet this season.
Bay Path RVT's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for University Park, they bumped their record down to 1-9 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Bay Path RVT suffered a grim 81-57 defeat to University Park in their previous meeting back in February of 2018. Can Bay Path RVT avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
