Jayden Brown and Kamden Wood were huge no matter where they played even without the win. Throwing, Brown pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Meanwhile, Wood tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. What's more, he gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in March of 2024. At the plate, Brown scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Wood went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Colton Evans, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Great Falls' defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4. As for Lamar, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-3.
Coming up, Great Falls will venture away from home to face off against McBee at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lamar, they will square off against Midlands STEM Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
