The Aransas Pass Panthers can finally bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They breezed by Odem on the road to the tune of 54-20. The win was just what Aransas Pass needed coming off of a 63-36 defeat in their prior game.
Several Owls players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dezirae Moreno, who scored six points along with six rebounds. Moreno scored a full 30% of Odem's points, the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Aransas Pass' win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-9. As for Odem, they bumped their record down to 2-23 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.
Aransas Pass will take on George West at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Odem, they will head out on the road to face off against Taft at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
